A MAN was charged with falsely making a marriage certificate and going through a form of marriage without solemnisation.
Jerome Ow Siew Nam, 37, is accused of the first offence between October 2006 and February 2007.
He allegedly went through a marriage with one Ng Siew Chiau at a flat in Tampines on Feb 14, 2007, without solemnisation, which made the marriage void.
A pre-trial conference is set for Jan 10.
If convicted of making the marriage certificate, he can be jailed up to seven years and fined up to $10,000.
The other offence is punishable with up to three years' jail and a $5,000 fine.
