A 24-YEAR-OLD man who made a bomb hoax call to the police was jailed for three months on Tuesday.
Ng Shichang admitted giving false information to a telephone operator, saying that there was 'a terrorist and bomb in five minutes'.
He made the call from a void deck at a block of flats in Choa Chu Kang Avenue 3 on Sept 26, shortly after a first similar call.
A Community Court heard that the police traced the dishwasher's call to a public phone of Block 286.
When police arrived, Ng fled but was detained after a short chase.
A second charge was taken into consideration during his sentencing. Ng, who has a previous conviction, could have been fined up to $100,000 and/or jailed for up to five years.

actually such hoax calls can be a part of a terrorist plot to jam up all of a country's emergency services while the real threat is executed flawlessly
