MINISTER Mentor Lee Kuan Yew, the founder of modern Singapore, is frail but well, and intends to start travelling again, his son, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, said on Tuesday.
'The years take their toll,' the prime minister told Reuters about his father.
'He is well, he is frailer than before but his mind is still all there and he has been travelling and I think he intends to travel again'.
The elder Lee is 87 and his wife, Madam Kwa Geok Choo of 60 years died last month. Many Singaporeans worry that MM Lee may not survive his wife by long and are concerned about what effect that could have on government and policy. He was briefly admitted to hospital recently for a chest infection.
'Well, we will survive,' Mr Lee Hsien Loong said in an interview with Reuters. 'The system has been established, the people have been put in place. He gives us the benefit of his considerable experience and wisdom which we take very seriously.
'But finally we have to decide what to do and we have to carry the message to the population. It is our challenge and soon the challenge of the next generation of leaders, who have to emerge'. -- REUTERS

actually too much excitement in election campaign would be sufficient to kill him...the stress......the waiting period...the hard werk.......

His work is now travelling around and selling his book.
So, what stress are you refering to since he is not involved in any policy or real work ?
He is just enjoying his life on the expense of other people.
