  haven't lah.  So anxious ah?  Sentenced to death also must take a few rounds of trials for both sides to submit their side of stories... I mean evidence. 

  Darren's side dun need to hire lawyer.  Got prosecutor. 

  come to think of it... when is the next trial ah?  I wanna take leave to go listen.

  DOWNTOWN EAST MURDER: Psychiatric test for trio

  THREE of the five suspects believed to be involved in the Oct 30 murder of polytechnic student Darren Ng, 19, were ordered to undergo psychiatric evaluataion in Changi Medical Complex.

  They are Chen Wei Zhen, 19, Ho Wui Ming, 20, and Tang Jia Min, 21. A fourth suspect, Louis Tong Qing Yao, 17, the youngest of the group, was ordered to be remanded in the Central police division for two more weeks to assist police recover the murder weapons, track down accomplices and complete investigations. Tong also faces three loan-shark harassment charges.

  The fifth suspect, Edward Tay Wei Loong, 18, is currently recovering in hospital after injuring himself while trying to evade arrest. His case will come up for mention next Tuesday while the case for the rest will be heard on Dec 7.

  Lawyers Subhas Anandan and Sunil Sudheesan told reporters that Tay has been moved out of the intensive care ward. 'He is conscious and police have allowed him to talk to his parents over the phone a few days ago,' said Mr Sudheesan.

  The five suspects are believed to be among a group of youths with choppers that hacked Darren to death in the main foyer of the Downtown East entertainment hub between 5.30pm and 5.37pm on Oct 30. Police have determined that it was a gang-related dispute.

  newspaper said... They still appear in court... still smiling smiling... the eyes still abit got diao diao de (gin in hokkien but I dunno how to explain in english)...

  They will be sent for physcaitic(spelling) test by the procescutor...

  i hope all the shit oing on is for show. eventually i hope all of them hang. and all those darren demised friends be monitored closely.  as for darren demsed if his family had not realised the friends are the major problme his family better keep all his ah beng friends away now. darren demised the only son so its natural that many of his beng friends will come and help be a chcane to be god son or in law.  bengs can also have sideline one

   

  the one in hospital really waste people time only. what psyhciatiric review shot waste people time. 3-6-9 just admit and let the law hang lah, para-butoh!

  Resources are being spent on Tay to recover....and when he recovers....resources are allocated to investigations and questioning. Then he also requires resources of the court to sentence him. And eventually, resources are needed to hang him.

  Perhaps the ST can do some research on the backgrounds of these 5 teens. What education their parents had....and my gut feel it isn't very high. Don't get me wrong as I'm not trying to put anyone down but this is a fact of society.

  For some, their children can move on to a social class higher than them. For many many others, it's just a vicious cycle. The poor gets poorer. They get a criminal record and when they come out, they face difficulty making ends meet, cant afford time and money for their kids. Then their kids fall into delinquency and the cycle goes on and on.

  I have a gut feeling that they will be sentence very light.

  No death, just min. jail term and min canning.

  im new to this thread man. just bcos he died, he deserves sympathy? ur killing 5 other people because of 1 dead guy and whose fault was it in the first place? idk but imo he was arrogant and thought he would win thats y he stare 1st.

  it wasnt entirely the gang's fault. things got out of hand. why wont people think rationally and not emotionally. dont get angry and start to flame me 1st. think for those ppl and their futures. is it worth it or not? 5 lives pay for 1. imho, very bo hua
