we know what is globalization. that does not include some big short pee arse coming here molesting a professional and getting away with just a fine.

upgrading programmes by gahmen seems bullshit to me. No matter what u upgrade, if the flood gates for foreigners are still open, such words of regret are hypocritical.

will he say in future in 10 years down the road, when he regreted bringing in foreigners, when the singapore landscape is totally changed by the foreigners coming in?

Our regret is to have him as a PM.
After he took over, the cost of living increases without any increase in quality.
Coupled with lots of wayang and empty justification, it is a complete disappointment.

inflation or cost of living has nothing to do with government, it is market forces at all. unless you want to live in a socialist society, where government decides the prices for all things.

inflation has to do with the govt la....when u up the farking gst, it's a chain effect on every damn thing in singapore. Another example is the constant raising of tobacco tax which can have an effect on the consumer price index.

Tobacco Tax is side effect of smoking. Can hurt too.

i dun support any political party. cos i not interested in politics. but that is abit harsh on MM Lee, cos after all he brought SG to where it is now. at least some credit bah. alot had been done these years after the war liao. amazing alr isnt it?
but i agree he should close, or at least moderate the PRC inflood. these PRC damn annoying. i worked in a co run by PRC. no choice ma. den kena bully by some stupid pinoys. so i complain to manager. but that manager cambodian, he do nth, so i try talking to my immediate spv, unfortunately she pinoy. so she obviously side her own countrymen ma. GM singaporean but can do nth cos too chockful of PRC liao. dumb la. our government has to do something, and fast!
but of cos....some PRC needed i suppose..only those talented ones with good attitude tho! the rest like those horrible China sales ppl, dey should get kicked out. kick those who have bad English and bad attitude! There should be some kind of 'forum' or voting site where singaporeans can submit names of PRC that are bad service/attitude so can screen them.

Lets make it tax free for everything, except cigarettes.
Cigarette tax pls raise it to 1000%.
Cos i dun smoke.... and i dun like to become a 2nd hand smoker and die of lung cancer for nothing. -

hmm... seems u'all would like a government like the Americans' free society now? hmmm.. i wonder if their ppl r in a better state than us? hmm shud be:) free society, barely any taxes, little crime enforcement, terribly indecisive parliament, retrenchment before 40, average income at least two time less than ours, vagrancy prob highest in the world..... ivy league unis all taken by foriegn talern.... sillicon valley kena chopped by foriegners..... or france! massive unnemployment... ultra-crazy strikes.... mega-inflation... hmm, it seems SINGAPORE as well is GRIPPED in such a terrible crisis! OH NO! WHAT HAS THE GOVERNMENT BEEN DOING? NOOOOO! theres massive unemployment in singapore! oh no! ultra-inflation! retirement age raised to 65! oh no! old ppl typing now! what on earth was our government thinking?

Maybe if he had stick to the Singaporeans First policy strictly, the impact of Globalisation will not have hurt Singapore so badly.

Cigarettes in indo are just $1.40. 3 packs a week and no more than $20 per month. Smoking in sg is such a waste of $$.
Come smokers, let's migrate :)
