Woman, 84, faces gaming offences

  AN 84-YEAR-OLD woman was charged in court on Wednesday with six counts of allowing three shophouses in Geylang as a common gaming house.

  Mun Yoke Keng allegedly permitted two premises at Lorong 17, Geylang and another at Lorong 8 to be used as a common gaming house between December last year and July this year.

  A police statement said illegal jackpot machines and improvised computers used for on-line casino gaming were found at the units.

  Her lawyer asked for the case to be adjourned for him to make representations.

  She will appear in court on Nov 12.

  If convicted, Mun faces a fine of up to $50,000 and a jail term of up to three years on each charge.

  I tot is gaming like lanshop or something... End up is casino type online gambling...

   

  Actually apparently, that area alot of such stuff on the 2nd floor of the shop houses de... Nowadays all go online gambling in a lanshop... I wonder why...
