Worker stuck in lift shaft dies

  A CONSTRUCTION worker died yesterday at a building site in Scotts Road.

  He had been trapped inside a lift shaft at the site.

  The police said they had received a call yesterday at around 11.40am about an industrial accident.

  Following rescue efforts, the Bangladeshi man in his mid-20s was found with multiple injuries, and pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene at 3.10pm.

  Police are investigating the case as one of unnatural death.

  The Ministry of Manpower said it has stopped all lift installation works at the site.

  Could be a possibility. Just feel it's odd with the safety measures such as mandatory harnesses.

  Scotts Road.....

  I suppose they're referring to that building under construction next to Tangs.
