Drunk driver tries to bribe police

A 35-YEAR-OLD woman arrested for drink driving has been slapped with an additional charge of attempted bribery.
The incident took place on Saturday when SSgt Jeff Lim Kok Hwee and SC/Cpl Mohamed Fauzi Bin Mohd Moner, patrolling in Yishun, came across an accident where a car had collided into several parked vehicles at an open car park.
The unsteady gait of the female driver alerted the police, who noted she smelt of alcohol. A breathalyser test was then administered. She failed it and was placed under arrest for drink driving.
While waiting to be escorted back to the police station, the driver pleaded with SSgt Jeff to help her and asked what he wanted in return. She was warned against making such a request.
She then turned to Insp Teo Woon Hoon and Cpl Asrul Bin Moktar, who were assisting in the escort, and offered a sum of $12,000 in exchange for not conducting further breathalyser tests on her.
A subsequent Breath Evidential Analyser test showed that the female driver's breath contained 70mcg of alcohol per 100ml, which significantly exceeded the legally prescribed limit of 35mcg per 100ml of breath.

if i were the police, i would take the 12k then ask my colleauge to do the test

The sentences for drunk drive is not too harsh.
Many pple still drive while drinking.
The law should amend to stamp out those irresponsible drivers.
Drunk drive kill themselves is ok, but not drag pple along with them.
