Income levels in Singapore

  Diff income levels in Singapore

  - Lower income

  - Lower middle

  - upper middle

  -higher end

   

  but what exactly is the income range for each category?

   

  i come from a poor family

  mum is a cleaner, dad is delivery driver

  income less that 2.5k..

  since young,, i never have a vacation, no latest gadgets in town whatever..

  cos there is no expendable cash around,,

  just enough for use only..

  never buy any other things beside food..

  cos we are not rich?

  when i was in sec sch, tuition also cannot afford..

  i depend on myself to score in O level..

  How abt u? Is ya family financial background like mine as well?

  At least your experience will be a good advantage towards those pple with a silver spoon.

  You will be able to know how to save for raining days, appreciate the money you earn, and more stronger than the rest.

  Why unsecure?

  I worked part time when I am in p6, secondary school.....  till I went to ns. Every weekend (saturday afternoon) went to factory till Sunday morning. And sometimes, weekdays too.

  During that time, I never even know how to go orchard nor take mcdonalds before.

  That is why I want my kid to study hard and not like me, dont have the luxury to really concentrate on studies for exam.

  Let your envy become your motivators and achieve your goals.

  The fact that you can have a computer to use shows that you are at least in the lower middle income group liao.
  
  Lets face it. You are not that poor. $3000 is the normal income group of Singaporeans I suppose... And really poor people are struggling at between $500 - $1000 income range.
  
  Appreciate what you have. Strive harder to go into the higher middle income or mid-middle income group by doing well in your studies and finding a well-paid job. =)

  My cousin, 3 kids (1 ite, 1 sec 3, 1 sec 1) earn $1.2k after cpf.

  Housing loan $600 need to go into cpf account for deduction.

  Left only $600....every month, no saving...now coming to 50 yr old....isnt my cousin in bad shape than many pple out there earning average houshold income of $3k?

  ya i know...at least i dun have to work part time to supplement the fanily income, as like  i said, we just guo de qu only...

   

  though i would like to have more richness for my family, i know it is impossible.. hah.a.

  i try hard to study though...but i am afraid i cannot go to local uni, then i wld have to settle for SIM already, i hope it is recognised by employers

  hi my father earns 1.8 k..after CPF should be lessser..

  my mum is 630 dollars...

  we are in debt, borrow money from insurance company as got one time, our cash in the bank acct using up...so to finance daily expenses, plus housing etc...really have to resort to borrowing money..

  now still have to repay yet.and the interest is rising..

  luckily, my bro NS signed on....so no need feed my bro liao :)

  he pays everything himself..

  i am so happy to see him being able to buy everything he wants now! from laptop, to i pod touch , hp, blah....

   

  money can be a source of happiness or woe.

  Know how to save for the raining days.

  At least your family expenses woe is reducing....a sign of good recovery on the way.

  Dont give up hope, many pple are far worst than your family.

  I poorer. My total house income 2k, but my father in debt with over 50k. I think sooner or later bankrupt.

  Computer, internet, phone bill and personal things is I work and pay by myself.

  I no ipod, ipad, iphone. No money step out of SG also, how? I sad.

  I must clarify that money is only a TOOL, not a source of happiness, for if ur brother anyhow spend, the money he has now will also disappear
