What a mess after festive celebration

THE residents of my estate at Woodlands Admiral Garden had a whale of a time celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Several families lit candles on the pavements and tables.
Many even started mini bonfires.
While I noticed one or two families with spatulas, presumably to remove the melted candle wax, they were by far the exception.
The next morning, there was melted candle wax everywhere, as well as burn marks on the pavements and litter scattered about.
Perhaps the parents felt it was more important to let their children have fun.
It is quite safe to assume that the children thought it was all right too.
