I hate to spam the below article, but my feelings are a mixture of anger, fear and sadness:

If you are a youngster or a fresh grad, no matter what you study, you don't stand a chance against cheaper foreigners who will be imported en masse to replace you.
Study business related, sorry, too common, will be replaced by your Pinoy friends, they speak english better than you.
Study engineering, sorry, too expensive, will be replaced by your PRC friends, they can write chinese better than you, more useful for the manufacturing plants in China
Study IT, sorry, too expensive, will be replaced by your indian friends.
Study Mass Comms, Journalism, Film-making, Arts..sorry, you will be replaced by your Indonesian, Pinoy, Malaysian friends, who can speak more regional languages than you, and they are cheaper. PRC girls who are prettier (look at our channel 8/U news broadcasters!) Pinoy guys more handsome and Ang Mohs, speak better English than you!
Study Chemicals, Oil & Gas, sorry, Myanmese and Banglah friends cheaper than you.
Study Finance, sorry, Pinoys and middle-eastern friends cheaper than you.
Now, what, my young friend, can you study? Can you support yourself and your love ones if no matter what you study, you will be replaced due our the pro-foreigner polices in placed by the Govt, which your parents have voted for?
Whats you future like? Havent's think about it? Don't care?

let me add further on male woes.....aside to all those issues as raised by you....for the guys....we need to labor through NS, and the best part is that the system overemphasized on women charter...makes guys even more at a disadvantage...

hello, i did not mean you were referring to me.govt be matchmakers? please, don't ever trust them. They made mistake by matching grads with grads stating that this will produce intelligent kids, later this proven to be untrue. The results of it is albino kid the lee has.

that is a strategy well thought of by the system to force you to compete and produce tirelessly...to go beyond the productivity frontier...u dun wan to give babies...i will punish you with foreigners...

It is a worrying trend indeed.
I really worry for my kids...how they gonna compete with the foreigners...they come in and they can work cheap cheap.
My boys still need to go ns...that is ready a blow on them...for 2 yrs. When rod, they are fresh and need to compete with them (for they already 2 yrs ahead of our boys). Damn!
