A SWEDISH national was charged in a district court on Wednesday with making a bomb hoax call.
No plea was taken from chef Erik Halvard Halvardsson, 42, who was remanded for psychiatric assessment.
He allegedly called police that there was a bomb at Swissotel at Raffles City Shopping Centre on Monday afternoon.
If convicted under the UN (Anti-Terrorism Measures), he can be fined up to $100,000 and/or jailed for up to five years.
He will be back in court on Oct 6.
