A 19-YEAR-OLD suspect believed to be responsible for a series of 'Spiderman' break-ins in the Jurong West and Boon Lay Housing Estates was arrested on Friday.
The youth was believed to have entered the flats by walking along the ledge from the stairway and climbing into the kitchen windows while the occupants were asleep, said police.
Through ground enquiries and investigations, the police managed to narrow down the identity of the suspect.
Officers spotted the suspect at the void deck of Block 692 Jurong West Street 72 during an ambush early on Friday.
They conducted a search and found stolen items, including a wallet, three handphones and a packet of cigarettes, on him.
The suspect will be charged in court on Saturday. If convicted, he faces a jail term of up to 7 years.
dangerous job.
thanks to the impressive designs
what if when he was stealing things, the occupants wake up and saw him?
this is too risky not to mention he may fall down from the window and die
