  Final jackpot and punters' passion

  WE THANK Mr Vernon Sim for his letter on Wednesday ("Shouldn't Toto jackpot be $10m?").

  The $5 million Group 1 Jackpot estimate for the coming Great Singapore Sale (GSS) Draw took into account sales after the Monday July 19 draw (no. 2554). The GSS Group 1 Jackpot has since been increased to $8,377,060 to take into account the snowballed jackpot of $3,377,060 from the Monday draw. If sales after the Monday draw are higher than expected, the final jackpot could indeed escalate to a higher amount, as anticipated by Mr Sim.

  This is because the final jackpot is inclusive of snowballed jackpots and sales from the previous draw.

  We wish Mr Vernon Sim the best of luck.
