A WOMAN was charged in court on Tuesday with selling and having a component part of a firearm without a licence.
Loh Boon Cheng, 55, who is self-employed, is accused of dealing with an M16 firing pin by selling it to Mr Lim Wei Li at Golden Mile Market at Beach Road on March 5.
She is also said to have the firing pin in her possession at the same place 13 days later.
Under the Arms and Explosives Act, she can be be fined up to $10,000 and jailed for up to three years upon conviction.
Her case was adjourned for a week for her to engage a lawyer.
