I REFER to the Forum Online letter by Mr Roland Tan ('Toilet shock at Golden Mile Complex'; May 17). Inspection of the toilets at Golden Mile Complex over the weekend of May 22 and 23 showed that the toilets were poorly maintained. Some of the toilet bowls and basins were stained and this was primarily due to heavy usage by large crowds thronging the complex during weekends.
So the National Environment Agency (NEA) has taken enforcement action against the management and directed them to increase their cleaning frequency on weekdays. A cleaner will also have to be present on site at all times to clean the toilets on weekends.
The management has been further advised to renovate the toilets and they have agreed to do so. In this regard, the NEA will continue to monitor the situation closely.
Members of the public who come across dirty toilets or defective appliances within may call our 24-hour NEA Call Centre on 1800-CALL NEA (1800-2255 632) to provide details for our follow-up action.

I've been to this shopping centre twice...just 2 times n I've never evern been to the toilets...I've never ever been to the floors above the first level...
I've only entered this particular shopping centre via one entrance and I always exit via that entrance. I've covered less than 1/4 of the first level.
Dirtiest toilets award.
