Litterbugs, be warned

LITTERBUGS, consider yourselves warned. The National Environment
Agency and NParks are tired of telling people to pick up their own
rubbish, so their new anti-littering campaign this year will make sure
offenders are duly punished if found guilty of littering.
Last year, more than 8,000 summons were issued, with 40 per
cent of those coming from the East Coast Park alone.
This despite the 1,000 odd bins dotted all over the park
which sees up to 7 million visitors annually.
'We will follow NEA's stipulation in their anti littering
campaign. NParks, where suitable, will consider implementing Community
Work Order (CWO) in NParks,' said NParks spokesperson Bernard Lim
That means if you litter, you may end up cleaning the trash.
