THE 20-year-old Singaporean who fell into a coma after a jet ski accident in Thailand died on Tuesday morning.
Mr Loh Ying Jie was involved in a collision with another jet ski ridden by his friend on Apr 2.
He was first taken to Patong Hospital and later transferred to the better-equipped Bangkok Hospital Phuket, where he underwent a three-hour operation to remove a massive blood clot in the right side of his brain.
He returned to Singapore on April 4 night on a medical evacuation flight, accompanied by family members and a doctor.
He was then taken to the intensive care unit at the Singapore General Hospital, where had been in a coma since.
Doctors had earlier said two-thirds of his brain had been damaged and that he might never regain consciousness. His condition took a turn for the worst on Monday.
RIP.
