SINGAPORE: With more than 60,000 people attending, the annual Chingay Parade in Singapore kicked off on Friday evening.
Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong launched the two-day event, held at the F1 Pit Building next to the Singapore Flyer.
This year's parade involves some 7,000 performers, including those from countries like Bhutan, Indonesia and Japan. There will also be 17 colourful and glittering floats.
The annual event is being held in conjunction with the Lunar New Year Celebrations.
