I believe most if not all OMO driver will maximise their effort and time during the 2 peak hour to make their living. So i dont think those operating in OMO is the problem of lacking of taxi. Can the NTA or LTA pls do a survey to see how many empty Taxi "All the Green light" car running back from expressway to city, how long is the mid-night queue and after 9pm....how many "Green Light Taxi" in an HDB area or at 1 traffic light junction. With that, u still want all the taxi to run in 2 shift !
Did they ask why 4pm plus there are so few taxi inside CBD ? How many empty Taxi would want to pay the ERP to go in ? - for Fxxx... to Benefit the LTA collection.
Why City surcharge start at 5pm but the peak hour 25% start at 6pm ? Isn't 5 pm a lot of ppl finish work.

The root of the problem is that they never considered Taxi Drivers as Human.
Their problem solving process is overly simplistic... not enuf Taxis, make everybody run 2 shifts.
I am very sure that if they push through to implementation, there will be new problems, unheard of at the moment.
