really hope they understood what's all about those difficulties hirer trying to find relief , and relief trying to find hirers .
One side could be fussy , the other could be calculative , one reason being nasty towards the other partner .

Some day hirer want to lease out 9pm to 6am .
Fair enough , vehicle parked there anyway , lease out better than nothing , but asking ridiculous rental .
Some wanted $30 , anything less , they rather park their vehicle there .
That's what happened .

Some relief want 4pm taxis , but hirers some only can handover at 6pm generally .
It's not about the data system .
It's all about there is no standard time set for handover .

They think so easy meh? KNN ask them lease one taxi and find one kaki in their Bukit Timah neighbourhood be their relief lah. Drive taxi not enough. Must do relief also. Then they know the problem....

I believe most if not all OMO driver will maximise their effort and time during the 2 peak hour to make their living. So i dont think those operating in OMO is the problem of lacking of taxi. Can the NTA or LTA pls do a survey to see how many empty Taxi "All the Green light" car running back from expressway to city, how long is the mid-night queue and after 9pm....how many "Green Light Taxi" in an HDB area or at 1 traffic light junction. With that, u still want all the taxi to run in 2 shift !
Did they ask why 4pm plus there are so few taxi inside CBD ? How many empty Taxi would want to pay the ERP to go in ? - for Fxxx... to Benefit the LTA collection.
Why City surcharge start at 5pm but the peak hour 25% start at 6pm ? Isn't 5 pm a lot of ppl finish work.
Like what Master Pool said, (sorry just to code), how many really drive to make a living and understand the problem. These ppl only talk cock sing song only.

The root of the problem is that they never considered Taxi Drivers as Human.
Their problem solving process is overly simplistic... not enuf Taxis, make everybody run 2 shifts.
I am very sure that if they push through to implementation, there will be new problems, unheard of at the moment.

Aiyah....firstly me only a td for now...as long as i pay rental on time...the rest i fark care.
This implementation if push thru isnt gonna worry me as a td. You know who will have all these baluku? The taxi companies man!
They will be up scratching their head how to mis and match all their fleet of taxis to all their tds...
