But I have one question.
How come these foreigners can come here and drive, just like that, while Singaporeans have to go through a grilling regimen to get the licence for driving.
In China is right hand drive...but think that this Ah Tiong long enough in Sg, going for PR those type..
As long got diplomatic clause, jio si mi also easy easy...our driving license go to a lot of countries also can use, so should be vice-versa.
RIP· To the taxi driver

according to the chinese newspaper, the taxi driver's shift start at 4pm, if he handover his vehicle at 4am, he would have escape this tragedy......
What the fuck, this China bastard killed so many people? What more, the taxi driver was the sole breadwinner in the family. It's not like taxi drivers earn alot in the first place, how is his schooling children able to live on from now? He was only trying to earn a living doing the night shift when he could have slept at home, then out of nowhere this China cheebye came and beat the redlight and crashed into the taxi?
Ditto for the Japanese tourist in the cab, she could be back in Japan enjoying life.
Anyone seen the irony in yesterday's (12 May) Shin Min report on Page 2 of the newspaper? The top half of the page was the Ferrari accident and how PATHETIC AND PITIFUL the China bastard died. PUI.
Then the bottom half of that same page was the report on a NS man who died while serving NS, which ironically is to protect Singapore. Huh protect simi lanjiao? Protect Singapore so that more of those China fucktards can come and kill more of us made-in-Singapore people? (the term 'Singaporeans' can't apply anymore, China bastards 10years in Singapore can become PR and then later Singaporean already)
It's bad enough
1) you beat the red light.
2) You drive a Ferrari in the wee hours.
3) You drank (Witnesses said the dead China driver reeked of alcohol anyway)
4) You killed other innocent parties.
5) Who the hell was the girl beside you in your Ferrari? Your wife was happily sleeping at your East Coast landed property anyway eh.
Seriously, the Government needs to look into their welcome-all-PRC-idiots policy right now. This is getting way out of hand. Sooner or later in 10 years, this small island right beside Malaysia would just become a satellite state of China, just like Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.
After reading the english and chinese press, I am shocked that the moral compass that is lacking.
The guy who beat the red light and killed three person is protrayed as a kind and charitable guy.
The fact is that he commited a crime and should be reprimanded instead of seeking public sympathy because he is rich.
So, the rich can commit a crime and get away from it.
What else is the press hiding ?
Is the police going to conduct any official investigation since there are three death regardless of the wealth and nationality of the offender and victim ?

The NS one stop trying to make it like he died serving the nation for it's a vehicular accident...
Look, drivers driving have to keep a lookout more so in training area where it's dirt track. Furthermore at Marsiling, as far as I still remembered it has steep slopes. speed control is very important on top of looking out for road condition...
Driving has to keep everyone safe. Simple as that...
As for the Ferrari accident, locals also do tat.. On Friday I ended up seeing 2 BMW beating red light aft 3 sec at 2 seperate junctions.. Are those tiongs? No they aren't, more look like locals.
I can say tis, if there's maniac local drivers, bound to have foreigners thinking it's acceptable.
The three-vehicle accident involving a red Ferrari, a taxi and a motorcycle has claimed its third victim.
Taxi driver Cheng Teck Hock, 52, died on Sunday at 7pm at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH). His family said he was taken off life support after his heart stopped beating on Sunday evening.
Mr Cheng's death is the third in the vehicular smash near Bugis Junction that had left two dead and two others injured. The motor accident, which occurred around 4.15am on Saturday, counts among one of the worst so far this year.
The other two who died were the driver of the red Ferrari, Mr Ma Chi, 31, a Chinese national; and Mr Cheng's passenger, believed to be a Japanese woman in her 20s.

Rip
RIP to the taxi driver.
there can be rules and signs and preventive measures

for some ppl, it's simply just.......... time's up.............

LOL. I also know it's a vehicle incident. Don't have to shoot me. But what's the purpose of NS in the first place? Isn't it the purpose of protecting the country and it's people? That's what the government had been preaching anyway isn't it. You might be all patriotic and all, I'm just trying to reflect what alot of us here are thinking.
I understand your point that we have bad drivers, but I'm just highlighting that this policy of getting more and more PRC in Singapore is getting way out of hand.
So be it if you don't see my point of view. Peace.
That's the best part of SPH...they know how to stir...
Not first time....
RIP...this news will faded away very soon...trust me...Rich Man...phui..
so Ferrari driver died and killed taxi driver and female passenger ???
the motorbike rider how ?
fark lah...................PRC mudderfarker..................
Neither would I be surprised if people are unable to roughly deprict what happened from the way you see the impact and the final location of the vehicles...
Actually when I heard got ppl died when news 1st reported in the afternoon, agar realised is someone beat red light and crashed perpendicularly le

I think you dun have driving license...
I still remember many yrs ago, they're still expected to pass the driving test as a basic requirement...
And I've alrdy said, speeding is like treating the DL as a right. So that's caused by the PAP or the irresponsible indv?
So you dun even know a single decent meaning of self responsibility.. Need PAP to teach you and later say PAP brainwashing you...
I think seriously, you only love to blame ppl else for everything.. social ills
There are only two victims in this incident.
The ferrari driver is the cause of the accident and not a victim.
If you want to drink and drive, you die your business and dun murder innocent people on the street.
Dun need to whitewash the criminal cos he is rich.
The press should be ashamed of themselves.
I am not being cruel.
If you pity the ferrari driver, who pity the taxi driver and the female passenger ?
Their life and their livelihood are gone due to the stupidity of one drunken driver.
Who is going to take care of the two affected family ?
but I guess for the issue on the press and those others involved in the donation issue...
harm is inflicted...
