$30 per hr is way too high for a job like taxi driving. Lets all bring it down to $15 an hr, then i will see half of u guys sweating your pants off.

From my understanding, Total Nett is Total Collection before Rental & Fuel Cost.
Sat & Sun if rest still got to pay rental.
So easy, come on drive.

For me, can make $50 net (after all deduction), seibei happy liao
$20 give wife, $10 give one of my school going child, $5 for eating, $10 for bills, from Hp to powersupply to Gst, then keep the $5 for raining day.

Ya lor. My Accounting similar to yours.After Breakeven, very happy liao.
Sometimes make $30 net, occasionally make $100+. On average same as you.

Normally when you use the word Nett, it means deduct all the unnecessary stuff.When everything is considered, it is called Gross.
Imagine you have Red Bean Soup. If you use a Net to scoop it out, you will only get the Red Beans, minus the soup.
So the Gross is everything, Beans and Soup.
Whereas Nett is only the Beans.

For those who intend to drive taxi to clear your debts, think twice,u will be digging your own grave. TD who can drive happily will earn abit more.

Main reason for him to hit $265 from 04:30 to 1:45 is
total12 st pax and 10 booking,
only HIT one time to town which is $2.5 erp, not HENG?

correct me if i'm wrong. from 5pm- 12mn, if u can handle this time slot efficiently, u are better than day shift driver driving from 5am-2pm.

day 10hr is almost equal to night 7-8hr
but remember the opportunity cost for driving night, not having to spend spend with family, girlfriend, and etc
for day shift, remember driving long hour without proper break in long term can damage our body and health, so to our dear tds, make money also take good rest,

den see a lot of postings seems veri good to earn...
so give up a stable job to drive taxi...
now he realised... where got so good money... super regret... now planning to throw key... and actively looking for job...

TS Job Summary is correct, within it's context (scope).There is Cash, Vouchers, Cashless, Discount, ERP, Levy.
Rental is not in their computation.
Cash plus Vouchers plus Cashless will be Gross Collection.
Deduct Discount, ERP and Levy will become Nett.

i also can earn $250 per day ,but gotta start work at 7 am and finish work at 11 pm,abt 16 hours driving inside the taxi!no exercise,no social life nothing!then deduct rental plus fuel!250-112-60=78 net!is it worth it!

Day shift has got more potential , more cheapos to take taxis , easier to get connections thus can catch up quotas set by ourself .
Night shift 6pm onwards 25% , still got people take , still majority thought 25% is a lot .
Night shift taxi population more or less there same , but taxi takers compared to before 17/12/2012 were at least 30% less for night shift .
