COE for big cc car(>1.6ltr)> $80k,TD more die & struggling

  Taxi rental will definitely rise another 10-20% soon. so td need to drive more hrs to cover cost,leads to more unhealthy bodies,more sickness,more hospitalisation,then more subsidy from govt

  No worries. This cost was done by taxi companies in the 1st place by driving up COE prices with new purchases.

  In the end, when they have a lot of vehicles available for rental, you'll see a charm offensive to get new hirers. Plus they are not so worried, instead of scrapping vehicles at year 5, they will hold on to year 7 and recover all these extra charges.

  Of course some hirers will face some problems if they get too keen to drive new vehicles. For those who are patient, and wait for the repossessions, they will get a better deal.

  Get your fact right lah dumbo. COE for taxi under Cat A which lower by $50 lah. Haizzzz he post too much nonsense until blur liao.....

  Even if repossess by the taxi company,they will not lower rental,long Q at CDG to be hirer,be it brand new cars or up to 4 yr old car.Difference in rental between 1yr & 4 yr cars is only a few dollars.

  what is very interesting is SMRT bid for 200 over but did not get a single one.

  so all the new epica we see coming in still have no COE and they want rent out from next month.

  so fortune ball see next bidding CAT A go up as they desperately need the COE.

  my sampan cannot make it, ask me take epica at 116 and must pay additional 200 as deposit also. which sane TD want?

  When will it drop? Only when the taxi is old enough then will earn the drop.

  Anyway, it was being highlighted that in other thread that there is really a increase in the rental. Can anyone who recently acquire new Taxi (Whether sonate/epica/merc/other) care to share with us the increased?
