Manchester United striker Louis Saha has agreed an extension to his current contract that will keep him at Old Trafford until 2010.
The former Fulham striker has played a key part in United's rise to the top of the Premiership table this term and to the last 16 of the Champions League, and is delighted to extend his stay with Sir Alex Ferguson's side.
"It's great news," the France international told United's official website.
"I'm really enjoying my time here and I wanted to show my commitment to Manchester United, but also repay the faith that Sir Alex has shown in me.
"Hopefully we will have an exciting end to the season and add some silverware to the trophy room."
Ferguson added: "We're happy to see Louis here until at least 2010 and to add him to the other players who have recently signed new contracts like Cristiano (Ronaldo) and Wayne (Rooney), but also to the new additions such as Patrice (Evra) and Nemanja (Vidic). It bodes well for the future.
"We address the situation of players' contracts now and then in order to strengthen the club and it's great to add Louis to the list. Louis' form has been fantastic since he's come back from injury and he's scored 26 goals in that time."
Saha has scored 36 goals in 87 appearances for United since his £12.8million transfer from Fulham almost three years ago.
