  don't let inconsequential things eat away at you.. learn to throw it away... and look at the things that are important...
  
  if it is about affairs of the heart, remember the major things... let the other bits fall away...
  
  dwelling over inconsequential or things that may not even exist, will cause you to start imagining things and actually believing those things until even when the truth is not what you think it is, you will refuse to believe the truth..
  
  i've seen it happen and worse, felt it happen first hand.. it is not pretty..
