After graduating from medical school (5 years), you come out under training as a n00b doctor for 2 years, before the specialists recommends you for medical officer position... it means once you are a medical officer, you are licenced to come out to open your own clinic...

Hahaha... if it comes to Malaysia then finish oh...
Coz we only have the Acyclovir, Famciclovir (herpes zoster treatments)... these are the two commonly seen... Others include amantadine, rimantadine... but these are really high class meds (I personally haven't come into contact of these)... -

“Malaysia has decided to stockpile the anti-viral drug oseltamivir to prepare itself for a possible bird flu outbreak, a health official said Saturday.
Oseltamivir, known commercially as Tamiflu, is the only treatment proven to be effective against bird flu in humans.
Malaysia will obtain the drug from the Swiss pharmaceutical company Roche Holding AG soon, but the quantity has yet to be decided, said Ramlee Rahmat, director of disease control at the Health Ministry.
“We are in the process of acquiring the drug as a precaution against any outbreak,” Ramlee told The Associated Press. He said details of the stockpile would be made known later. ”

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (AP) - Malaysia plans to stock up on anti-flu drugs and protective gear to prepare for a possible outbreak of avian influenza, said the countryÂ’s health minister.
The Health Ministry will also set up a bird flu committee with the Agricultural Ministry to tackle any outbreak more efficiently, Health Minister Chua Soi Lek said. The role of health officials on the committee will be to monitor suspected cases of the disease in clinics or hospitals nationwide, while agriculture officers will monitor poultry in farms and pet birds.
The H5N1 strain of bird flu has swept through poultry populations in Asia since 2003, infecting humans and killing at least 65 people, mostly poultry workers, and resulting in the culling of tens of millions of birds. No human fatalities have occurred in Malaysia.
Chua said the government will need enough Tamiflu anti-flu tablets for at least 20 to 30 per cent of the population if there is an outbreak. The total cost for the anti-flu drug and other preventive measures could cost the equivalent of $132 million US, authorities say. -
