Today took a taxi to work and TCSS with uncle. He boasted that his Cumfuck Sonata has obtained good improvement in milege after using a certain addictive. Sorry I did not take note of the brand. He told me SMRT buses also using the same addictive. Perhaps TDs can check it out. Then I ask why CDG service centre never provide during regular servicing... ? He replied ... "TD driver paid for the petrol consumption mah"

You addict to engine oil ar?? you sniff or drink it??? Oil additive lah, not oil addictive... It all depend on how you want to take it, most commerical fuel are already added with additives to create better viscosity and reduce friction. By adding, you might over neutralise it viscosity leading to engine heat up easily. There are many kind of aftermarket oil additives, mostly on first few adding it produce amazing result like smoothing leading to ease of crankshalf movement, thus less fuel required, but as it goes along, engine oil loosen it properties of slick and cooling, your engine moving parts like cranskshalf and connection rod become loosen and worn out more easily, this can lead to lost of power and increase of temperature. Futhermore, if your additive is not compatitable to the engine make or usage, it might damage yr piston and piston rings.

This additives are just like nicotine......
Bo dai bo ji, you go put this kind of additives, yes, it might enhance the engine performance, but once the effect gone, you got to purchase again and put in.....
In taxi uncle term, we call it "bo jiak yo" (never take medicine), when 1 TD asking another TD your taxi got put or not.....
So like nicotine, once additives than becum addictive.....
Before seller sell you this additives, they need you, once you start using it, subsequently becum you need them.....
Sound like opium hor.....

Some people add additive is to prevent leakage, such are so called synethic additive with a heavy adhesive and denser properites, one famous brand is STOP. Sometime when we go to carpark to take our cab, we might notice some black oil (not water) batch on the floor below the engine, this show a leakage, either from engine body crack or in between fitting gasket leak. This additive act as a glue, it will slip into the cracks or gap to form a blockage, as such leaking may stop. Engine now more leak proof and can therefore function better

Engine oil leak should be STOPPED by the technicians, why pay $$$ and stop it ourselves

Some people leh, not some TDs...aiyo, mostly for private car lah, for taxi of course go back servicing lah, tow liao...then go JB walk walk find bak bak.

Some additives need to pour into certain component parts.....
Most common type is to pour into the gasoline inlet where you pump the petrol or diesel.....
So effective or not, you go and figure out lor.....
Taxi the worst, every month at least servicing once.....
Than the mechanic flush out all the old lubricant ie engine oil.....
And there go your additives.....flush away together.....

Aiya, most additive only act as emusifiers, meaning, to make the oil smoother, like hair conditioner, sometime I go find old bak bak, very dry, also add abit of additive oil mah, then seibei shiok, bak bak also shiok..

I use to rev below 2k, then on the road, kenna honked, high beamed and also middle fingered many times, and also, kenna paxs kpkb..somemore can suan me..you drive taxi or drive for funneral leh...seibei slow leh..uncle, yr cab so big, engine so big, drive so slow, wasted.
