Can TD change shift @ Airport?

If already decide not to take any pax and go to change shift already, is there a difference between putting 'change shift' or 'busy'?

Top on green with manual change shift sign.
To Mr L, with LED sign must use.
So going to learn hard way to change to Busy, which I've never really used all these while.

Who say "busy" sign cannot pick up people?....
Although changing shift is very subjective, but not ready for hired mean not ready for hired....
My friend argue with Mr L until want to punch him, Mr L only repeat that sentence to him, "Change shift, please go and change shift"....
The main point is, "No TD are allow to solicit pax in any kind of circumstances"....
So some TD practice "silent mode", put change shift, go in taxi stand, finger point roof top, window remain wind down, until a potential pax inside taxi stand approach him....
Is it correct to do that also?....

solicit means to come out of ur cab and find pax mah....then bargain the rates.
if cannot unwind window and ask pax along the street, can LTA demonstrate the right wat to change shift?

The sign on top is for commuter to understand why taxi driver didnt stop for them, and dont complaint thereafter
It is not for the driver convenience in any circumstances.
If a driver create a conflict with the sign he presented, and lead to a complaint...... he will never win.
Put buzy can pick pax? If there is a complaint on this, you think you will win?
Put change shift can only hope the commuter be understanding, if a query will to sent to lta, why the driver put change shift but still stop, ask and refuse to pick........... you think is alright?
The regulation is clear, no choosing of customer
Those what I will only go to places I want to go, not pax want to go...........all are nonsense

there was one time when three ppl waiting at the road side, but did not flag for my cab.. so i drive n drive until the fourth person ask, do i take pax? i say yes, to where?
then i ask her y she ask i take pax or not, she say led on busy mode leh..
oh no, just now pee pee.. luckily got her.. arbo whole nite jiak lut..

so, simply put it.....
change shift means change shift.
straight drive to your change shift location. no stopping, no picking....dun even talk about choosing. right???
anyway, if i put GREEN on top....never stop to pick pax, they complain based on what?
many wait along bus lanes, expect TD to stop....
if CBD is foc, and got surcharge, who will pick those just outside cbd? complain???

Gentlemen, let not argue over all these can or cannot, the last rule of CoC in army apply here, you do whatever you like, as long as you are not caught, complained or noted, by all means do what you like.
The logic of to pick or not to pick like it or not, is like our traffic light, green means can go ahead and pick, red means stop it.
I understand some may take pax with busy sign, some may just forget to switch back, some MDT allow you to change shift many times, some change shift jurong but still take pax to changi and so on. This is not a major issue,
the major is when you are in Green Hirer Position and still do not take pax who are waving for you or stop and pick paxs at taxi stand whereby there are lots of paxs on Q. Once you get complained, noted or photographed or simply caught, God bless you.

Changing shift do not imply that you cannot pick up pax, it is still Green, eg, at orchard, you put change shift woodland, anyone you pick on the street or Q who wish to go thomson, ang mo kio, yishun, bukit panjang, adam, marsiling, CCK, bukit timah and so on are potential pax that you can pick as it is on your way back north toward woodland.
The purpose, it therefore, works on a win win situation, wining in a way that TD will not go back all the way empty, and potential pax who live there can be ferried thereby erasing the crowd in the city.
But most TDs like my bro CT, Terry, Keepthechange666 (change nick leh) are street smart people, given anything in hand, they will exploit it and sometime not knowning it, abused the system. This are peoples who when you give them shit, it can become gold.

This is not argument lar, it is an understanding of what the system is all about.
Knowing the system first, create an excuse on the fundamental of the system in order to break it, and get away with it...............
If cant come out an excusable reason, do not break it. Be a good boy

Breaking of system is like hacking, provided you hv the skill to break into it, and ironically, my view is, if you really want to break a system, do a big one that can make you a millionaire, but for a peanut taxi fare and go break a system...like my former chief did, not worth

Changing shift location come with 2 type, 1 type with asterisk and another type without.....
You know why?....
Many TD only know with asterisk, roof top will show change shift with that location, without will only show change shift....
But this is not about all.....
With asterisk change shift location, CURRENT BOOKING still can come in....
Without, of course cannot....
Why current booking still can come in?....
Use some brain to think la....
Like bowah have say, rules and regulation is dead 1, we TD are alive and kicking.....
If you really changing shift at Woodlands at 5pm, than sway sway 4pm sent a pax to ORQ, than ORQ pick and go, what you should do?....
For me, put "busy" and go home empty....
