Average 14 to17 pax per shift. Today, I hit 18 pax driving from 8.30 am to 4 pm. One toilet break and one 15 mins lunch break. Travelled all over, Bedok and even up to Tuas West Drive.
All purely sweep. No booking, no AP, no,queueing at taxi stand.

How many pax i never noticed. End of day logout $$$ more important. Normal days $3--.

End of the day logout more or less $$$, end of the month also same same no money..
Sometime I earn more than $30 net per day, end up also borrow money ,
Sometime I earn less than $30 per day for a few week, end up never borrow money

Since some pax are small fares, hard to determine by collection, which deemed sensitive and banned here
so the number of pax is more of a reasonable gauge

I part time super relief. So can chiong. But if drive full time everyday, not advisable. Health will deteriorate very fast.

Not really, I had see 70++yo full time TD for the past 40 yrs still looking more young and energetic than those working class, it all depend on how much you want out of TD, and if talk about chiong, any job you chiong also end up with poor health.Given a 52,000 middle age TDs on the road day in and out and 52,000 executives working 5 days per week in CBD with different ages, more executives visit the hospital and clinics than TDs. And more hv chronic illness like heart, liver, kidney etc etc problem.
Most of us TD are not born to be or wanted to be a Taxi driver, most of us would have or had worked in some other jobs or still having a job like you and me, a casket driver.
As such, most of these hirers coming into Taxi trade on a background of stress working life or cannot take up with those bosses above them and with a concept on why I work hard and end up so many taking my share, and I get groundnut mentality.
TD then provide that freedom of having to look at faces to work, freedom of association, freedom of time, and of freedom of onself being removed from the shackles of bosses and some stupid fellows who know nothing but still can order you around for years.
Most would had gone into TD with a happy mood and at the end of the day, it is a path they choose without remorse nor regret, if so, why drive taxis? And if drive, be a happy TD.
