Cabby fined $3k for taking donated items
A TAXI driver caught carrying off donated items from the Salvation Army claimed that he wanted to sell them and use the money to take care of stray cats.
But that did not save Neo Swee Hock, 54, from being fined $3,000 yesterday for misappropriating the donations, the value of which was not specified.
The TransCab taxi driver is also the owner of Jumbo Profit Trading, which deals in second-hand goods.
A district court heard that a security officer who was monitoring surveillance video noticed Neo driving into the charity's premises in Upper Changi Road North at about 3.15am on July 10.
He was then seen putting on a cap before taking several bags and boxes of donated items out of the booth and putting them into his taxi.
When the officer and a colleague went to check, they saw that the booth had been cleaned out. All the donated items were in the boot and on the rear passenger seats of the taxi.
At first, Neo claimed that he had come to donate the items.
When told about the video showing him carrying the goods into his taxi, he apologised.
He returned the items to the booth and pleaded with the officers not to notify the police before driving off.
However, the building manager lodged a police report that evening and Neo was arrested.
The maximum punishment for misappropriation is a $10,000 fine and a two-year jail term.

For me, non smoker, everyday got brush teeth, put cologne at oriental hotel, pax come inside, smell already, cab clean clean also shiok mah, even tho a crown. Besides double confirm the destination location, when pax gives their preferred route, u are quite safe already.
else not sure, ask if its near any particular landmark...or maybe main road.
eg, Keppel Bay Towers and Keppel Towers...

When TC started, indeed is like that....
Now should be better liao la....
Whole taxi industries like rojak like that for the past so many years....
People just jump here and there, some go 1 big round, than join back CDG again....
When your company kanna address by public as pai kia company, is it a good remark or not?....

Prime?....
Mostly are jiak pa buy pau TD.....
Knn, last time $5k deposit, no instalment allow 1 hor....
Recently tone down a bit, but $3k also cannot instalment hor....
Not many TD can afford to drive their taxi hor, all petrol taxi.....

yah. prius is 3k cash, 2k installment ($10 per day)
but i seen alot of them happily driving OMO. some do agree if they have 1-2 days relief, they can rest better also.
most feedback that for prius, 300km, they need only $30 petrol.
for my premio, it's about $45.

It is idling cost that kill, those new taxi at $13x to $15x....... off or fall sick, worst is both happen one after another

You failed miserably to get my cue, if pax guide you to his or her destination, you are not wrong even when it end up in the wrong poly. If I said temasek poly is in tampines and pax said go by woodland SLE ext ave 2, I am not going to tell pax that is wrong. If he or she wish to think republic is temasek, as long as he or she paid the fares and happy about it, he or she is right. -

That apply to all sole proprieter business, if he sells chicken and fall sick, stall also cannot operate.Therefore, for Taxi drivers, it is essential to find partner, and maybe a trusted super relief driver like me to share and exchange burdens at times,
hirer sick or got problem or go holiday relief cover and vice versa, and if both cannot, super relief come into picture.
But if you hv those LJ stubborn attitude hirer that cannot share your taxis with other like my keepthechange666 characters, then god bless you
