The body of the man who fell into the waters off East Coast Park (ECP) beach wasrecovered on Saturday evening, after a search spanning over six hours.
A Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) spokesman said on Saturday that they were informed of the incident earlier at about 11.15am, and dispatched a fire engine, a red rhino, two ambulances and two support vehicles to the scene.
Divers from the SCDF and Naval Diving Unit were also deployed for the search for the man, who is believed to be a Chinese national.
He had apparently fallen into the waters while he was fishing with two friendsI think talking about this 1 right? But tia gong is Chinese national leh....

I hope I dont offend anybody but I heard this story from my aunt once and we both found it funny.
My aunt's neighbour is like her, in her 50s. 1 day during 7th month, she spotted her neighbour who had dyed her hair. So my aunt asked her, why you dye your hair? She told her, Oh no, Ahci (Indian for aunty), you see now 7th month got ghost roaming, so I dye my hair to confuse them. If they are looking for me, now I change the colour, they cannot recognise me!!
I dunno how true this is (about ghosts getting confused) but the story was quite funny to us. As I said, no offense intended, we respect others beliefs but laugh not at the belief in ghosts or 7th month, but the actions this lady took.

I also did that, but because I dun smoke, so I used three incenses, but then, end up OBK leh...why like this, then I went home and sleep, my hirer took over, afternoon tire punctured at ECP....lols

Taboos to Follow:
1. Avoid swimming during the 7th month. It is believed that those previously drowned evil ghost might cause you to drown in the swimming pool. Such ghost need to find victims in order for them to be go for rebirth.
2. Children and young adults are also advised to return home early and not to wander around alone at night. This belief is due to the reason that the wandering ghosts can possess children easily.
3. Avoid moving into new homes and opening new businesses this month as it is considered inauspicious and bad luck on new ventures.
4. Avoid getting married during this month because couples will have bad ending. Some bad ghost may cast a bad spell on couples during their wedding.
5. Avoid going for jungle trekking and going on camping trips as chances of injuries, possession and death are high.
6. Drive very carefully during this month to avoid accidents, as there may be many wandering spirits who died of accidents previously that are searching for next victims so that they could be reincarnated.

Early morning @ hougang ave 10...sky still dark dark.
There were 2 groups of pax on the road.
Naturally, I stopped for the one nearest to me.
Stop leow but the the group of pax in front still keep waving and gesturing me to go over.
I was like A...Y no one come up ley...turn around to see no one at the road side.
Move up to the second grp of pax..
They ask me why I stop there..no one there!!!
