Good idea. Not happy just reject.
:p
Relief better lah, not happy...change lor.
As a hirer, u must lun all the way....especially when kana fly aeroplane by relief.
Nowaday not easy to find a good & reliable relief also.
I find relief better, but it depends on character.
The thought of waking up and realising you owe $1xx immediately can be a bummer.
But times are changing once again.
With rental shooting up like nobody biz, a cab will have to be shared unless hirer want to be hero.
Just shifted Geylang E, car park got 4 smrt (2 epica, 1 tank, 1 azera). Surprise all OMO and no want relief. Rental not cheap, what happens when OMO sick. Everything goes back co.
Then again after hearing my new hirer horror stories on his previous reliefs... guess some OMO scared.
handle one relief, hirer scare?
how about Taxi company, handle thousands of TD?
if hirer wants to be very hardworking, drive till to the dot then hand over, try your luck to find a lazy relief (like me)
if hirer wants to earn to the max, take all the good timing, can wait long long to get a relief
if hirer wants to love his taxi like his wife, forget about relief, no man can take it, seeing another man "lut" his wife
Unless u r limo like the blacks..then different story.
No relief...no way.
Although u can choose to drive all the good hrs but at the end of the day, you are not really earning more...your little bit more is to cover rental...not a wise choice.

Never mind, can always nego, if nasty relief, just reject loh.
u don't try u never know. Cannot always take the meat and leave bones for others. Gotta strike a balance
There is no balance in taxi driving la...
Day or night are so different....
Either you find a good relief or be a good hirer lor...
I OMO all the way, looking back is quite scary....
Nothing beat ageing problem, if I have to continue driving, maybe also need to surrender and find relief lo....
Don't forget, we age every year, stamina also won't be as good as younger time...

This is so true
some drivers, I believe, see their vehicles like 2nd wife, rather OMO

This I agree. As the cost is so much higher when u OMO, u need to put in more hours to see the same amount of income compared to a shift driver

Aiyo, you must understand TD lah, many are middle age men liao, most married with lau char bor wifeys at home who keep nagging at them, so most of these men just want to leave the house and do something of their own, like in a man world.
So being OMO is also one of the best accuses for these men to evade their wife, and also for those night relief, why nite relief??? because got many colorful things to see and meet mah, all in the disguise of Driving Taxi OMO. I guess. last time you must be one of them too...lols

OMO really is no life driving.
long hours OTR for more $, means less time for family and ownself.
Everyday go back like a zombie!

Money is always not enough....
Create your own pattern of driving.....
Balance your personal and working life.....
Go home mean go home, don't create own excuse like last trip or last 2 trips....
Maybe you are still new, after few years, you will understand what I mean....
In business, not everyday is a good day, but as long don't lose money will be a good day.....
A veteran once told me : As long as no accident, that day you sure make

My concept of TD driving is just cash in while metal is hot. Discipline driving where possible.
Rest and breaks still necessary. More breaks if things are slower than expected.

Very true. It should be, no accident, that MONTH u sure make.
an accident, u lose much more

This one I fully agree, but I like to add on that to make or not, there is alway another day, most important is go out in your taxis, come back in your taxis peacefully.
