Spend abit more, go learn from school. Get your basics right. 1 good thing about school is that when comes to practical test, you have upper advantage of getting your booking more convenient and you have ease of learning your practical skills before the test comes. You are more prepared. No point wasting on private, unless you want to spend more.....when comes to private instructors, they have hard time booking the test routes and at most,1 or 2 lessons nia.

Agree that you should get the basic right. It is good for testing and also yr future habits in driving.

Take my course in Old Seletar Camp, SOT(School of Transport)...
Circuit training in old Keat Hong Camp...si beh siong...
Last time regular straight can convert to civilian license, just need to take a test at Ubi driving center, sure pass practical test...
Later part, not so easy liao, need to clock 7000km(don't know got increase or not), knn, regular how to clock 7000km? so all vounteer go ROC, becum CO driver...
My military license consist of class 2/3/4/4A....
Incase you guy don't know what's 4A, I can drive an ARMOUR VEHICLE...

but I heard stories that outside company wana employ u as class 4 driver can write in or something like tat,forgot liao,many many yrs ago...

Mai kong first hor, can carry dead people or not, alot of work one hor, must network with relative, priest and monks and all those crematorium peoples, working hours, cremating hours, etc etc..then hor, cannot go wrong road hor..taxi still can go wrong road, not casket hor, and also cannot go burnt at the wrong terminal or crematorium hor, this one can tio pok one, even the casket company can get sue until close shop.
Let see how you deal with the alive pax first before you come and deal with the death one, like cdg, Singapore casket is the biggest here, got call somemore...lols

It's same as supply against demand. If no demand, how to have supply? When there are jobs that nobody does, definitely is a demand and if you enjoy doing or dont mind getting into jobs that nobody does, definitely can survive.
So many uni grads nowadays, all want to be managers, nobody want to work as a technician. If pay is reasonable, why not work as technician?
I dont mean to say working in casket industry is no good or good, as long you have hands and legs work anywhere, can bring back the dough to the family is already considered good. Study so much is for knowledge purpose, know how to earn money and keep the family survive is the only key thing.
Aiyo, I super relac one lah, but University do not provide Casket or Taxi degrees, nor is any polys in Singapore. All these are hands on trade. Got legs got hands, also must have a brain, if not, people end up 13 paxs can go home sleep, we still struggling to find the 6 paxs to cover rental..lols

Yes, with military class 4, you can apply to convert to civilian class 4 once ORD...
But if left army very long liao, I don't know still can convert or not....
