sonata engine oil consumption

Like to check with fellow drivers here. Within 5 to 6 wks after service engine oil level reach low level is it common?

Uncommon. There must be some leakage somewhere.
First and foremost, morning before starting, check the parking floor below yr engine, if got oil, meaning leaking.

I park outdoor c/p then below all grass.. not those multi storey..sometimes fed up need to go loyang to top up cause I stay yishun. Take vehicle dun allow to check under carriage. Somemore less than 2 year old.. sianz ar

I think there is a leakage. You send your car to the workshop and check it out. -
Don't waste time just drive to wrkshop n let them ckeck,how come stay yishun n svc at loyang? Can always change to sing ming or braddell ma

I requested to change location. Fill up the form since june no reply from them. Haha...

Water can also be the cause of engine crack due to piston reverse pressure.
In workshop, some use colored additives (usually green in color), run the engine for a few minutes, than use ultra violet light to detect the place of crack and leakage on the outside lower body of the engine block. Once you spotted a green neon light, that is the cracks, this is a more sensitive detection of cracks that is non visible to our nake eyes.

From entrance of the MSCP, oil trail all the way to 4th storey....
Kanna summon $200....
So sometime park at open car park also got its advantage....

Engine oil leaking can be due to aging and poor casting of engine block, on the other hands, new engine can also get oil leaking due to misalignment and one more common causes is water inside engine.
So, brothers, be it your own pte car or taxi, never never go into a flood or pool of water above 1/4 of your wheel base, the air intake will take in the water instead of air, this will dampen your air filter and result in water going into your combustion, and due to water unlike oil, it is not subject to pressure and reject any force, this can result in engine block crack.
On the other hand, it can also due to lower casket burnt or worn, casket burnt you can smell it, this can be all due to cooling problem whereby, cooling chamber are choked or that cooling rubber pipes get hardened and leaking
