A district court heard that an acquaintance, known only as Ah Lam, had recruited Low for the scam. The cabby was present when an accomplice deliberately drove the taxi into the rear of a car which then collided into another vehicle ahead of it along Lorong Lada Hitam off Mandai Road on Sept 27, 2009 .
Ah Lam then passed the particulars of the "drivers" and the registration numbers of the two cars to Loh and told him to report that the accident happened at 8am on Sept 28 along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 5. The cabby was also to say that he had three passengers aboard.
He filed the accident report at the offices of Prime the next day and was directed to send his vehicle for repairs to the H.C. Auto workshop in Sin Ming Industrial Estate. These came to $7,100.

Touch wood first,
Pay ki lan lah, the rental also included the insurance fees liao, that is also why new cabs, higher rental, cos new mah.
The cost of what the taxi companies pay for the taxis, the road tax, the insurance are all compounded into the rental liao, if not, how to cover the cost of operation to breakeven by 2 to 3 years, thereafter, profit flows in.
Drivers indirectly speaking, are buying insurance day by day, let say cdg 15000 cab, each pay $10, that will be $150,000 per day for insurance company to earn, and let say, like my office here alway get about average 50 cases per day, some Own fault, some Not OF, some 50/50, claim is 50,000 altogether, insurance still earn 100,000 per day, ho tan bo??
Still taxi drivers have to pay, yes, if it is your own fault.
