It more of the paxs' problem, I believe that everyone of us TD once or twice in our daily driving also dunno that we had taken a pax who had called a taxis. And even for brother foolsh, you might had swept up a pax who had called a taxis too. And if you choose to point to our taxi brothers, then you are also one of it who is doing it without the knowledge of it.
The thing that we need to learn here is that we need to stay focus on issue, not anyhow blame here and there, pax jump calls or play with calls is more of a human etique than a disciplinary one. Because the system allow them to exploit these loop holes and the authority choose to remain status quo.
End up, as usual, we are the lambs, not only get slaughtered by them, but also at their mercy at time. And if we are to slaughter among ourselves, they will just laugh it off, save them the trouble of having to get us.
There is reason for any action, unless you eat too full, too rich and got nothing better to do, but for a mere TD, cutting lanes for paxs, jumping Q, speeding and quarrelling or even fighting with pax or our own brothers or company is not just because one choose to do it, such action arrive from the social aspect, the social inequalities, cost of living, high renting and spending play a critical part in our daily behavorial on the road.

too much taxis? u never read newspaper? Premier boss is saying that 2% growth rate is NOT ENOUGH. He want more growth rate per year to accomodate for more people/tourists in singapore.... Now normal car growth rate is 0.5% and taxis already have 2% still not enough?

Those pax also one kind, got so many taxi on the road, still make call booking.
Td also another kind, see so many empty taxi on the road, still think he got the luck to recieve a call booking.
Take call require some knowledge, when you see lots of green light, take call that is 1min away only. If not, prepare to take pei kee.
When there is lots of red light, 3 mins away is the most, cos there are lots of taxi actitive going on, there might be a drop off next to your pax anytime.
When there is no light, no taxi around, can go for 10mins away booking? Fuck lar, 10 mins...... just pick anyone on the street.
Take call, 3 mins away is the max, more then that....accept the fact that there are no show happen in this trade.

All these who book cab and then jump call are very experience paxs, and in office or with friends, they will booast their smart way of taking a cab, and these translate to more people doing the same as them.

Some pick up locations are easy to be hijack, can't be help
Seldom to get pax that willing to pay extra booking fee if an empty is available

Pax steady, driver also must steady.
Few times I take call at HDB, turn in and see people alight cab. My booking pax can simply take the one in front and cancel mine but they did not...so I also steady, when they board my cab, I tell them, aunty / uncle, you steady never take the cab in front..I take the booking charges off.

Same also..ah neh like everytime do that. Also kena a few times, when near the pickup location, call get cancelled then see the pax at the pickup location trying to flag me down..I also put busy and drive off.
