Take limousine taxis out of new standards, reduce benchmark

The National Taxi Association (NTA) has called for the Land Transport Authority to exclude limousine taxis from its taxi availability standards, citing how such drivers operate differently from regular cabbies.
NTA adviser Ang Hin Kee spoke about this and several other recommendations that the taxi union has submitted to the Authority during a feedback session with drivers at a coffeeshop in Jurong East on Monday morning.
Other recommendations that have been highlighted to the LTA include reducing the minimum daily mileage of 250km for taxis with a hirer or relief driver above 60 years old and providing a discount on Electronic Road Pricing or monthly pass for cabbies that have to enter the Central Business District.
New taxi availability standards were implemented in January this year, and dictate that a certain percentage of each taxi firm's fleet be on the road during peak hours and ply at least 250km daily. The policy is meant to make it easier for commuters to get a cab. Last week, the LTA announced that taxi firms would be given an additional six-month grace period to adjust to the standards before any fines are introduced.

first, authority will try to Convince
when you seeking rational and they can't make it rational, they will use Confuse (by complicate thing)
when you too smart to begin confuse.........they will use Condemn
when all above 3 still can't get you, they will use Control (law and regulation)
