Taxi Drivers' New Online Matching Portal

To facilitate hirers in finding relief drivers and vice versa, LTA launched a new online matching portal today. Taxi hirers and relief drivers can visit www.onemotoring.com.sg/taxi_matching/ to look for suitable partners so that the taxis can be better utilised at all times. Taxis driven in two shifts will also reduce the financial and operational burden of up-keeping a taxi solely by one driver. Besides facilitating matches between taxi hirers and relief drivers, the portal will also be used to disseminate information relevant to Taxi Driver's Vocational Licence (TDVL) holders.

still drivers have to go to respective company to do paperwork and settle deopsits

Govt give something, you better take it, if not, they will eat you gao gao later, most TD trained in Taxi academy are more concentrate on the roads issue, rules and regulation is of course a must,
I will said that it should reduce the roads courses, because most lan,..sorry..lau jiaos here can tell you, study what road, no on the road, you also study nothing, so the road direction and places, let it to the driver to learn himself when he is on the road.
The course should then ecompass communication skill, customer servicing skill, basic buisiness mind and how to work together as a business partner. I mean relief and hirer are business partner right?

diesel and petrol companies sure huat. every cab minimum 250km.
govt confirm huat & huat!
taxi companies will get less calls. more wear and tear.
every TD will earn less. share the bread crumbs.
everything is under their control.

i find mileage clocked is meaningless, average time.... 1km = $1.... bad times... 350km = $250....or less.........

There are one shift driver, doing 500+km , what is your 300+........
Just drive and make as much your body can take, I dont really bother about the min mileage thing.
