by regulation...... you should know (i don't want to teach those non taxi driver)
by personal level, it is up to you, how much you can see open with that $0.22 per jump.
how long it take a pax to load stuff into the boot?
and does that extra make you "wet"?
Lol... It makes me high
so that they can take their time to load

U got a point. Else later blacklisted for 60mins
If @5:59pm, see whether you want to press the start meter or not. lol
once I picked up pax at MT E @5:58pm. Helped them to slowly load luggages into the boot. By then when ready to take off to AP, started meter @6:02pm. Swee boh
When to start meter is situational. Another example, once my taxi was on "Busy" mode preparing to take 5, I saw a young lady struggling with her luggage. I asked her, can I help? She said AP. I quickly switch to "For Hire" and sent her to T1
This kind of question need to ask? If this one dunno still drive Smlj taxi?
Sometimes, don't have to count to the last cent. If the fare is $12.05, I'll usually say $12 will do. But if it's Japanese pax, I'll count to the dot. If elderly, I'll say just pay $10 will do. Give and take. That's life as a TD, just move on. Usually, my monthly tips from pax can pay for my family mobile plan of 4. lol
When to start meter not very important...
Important is don't forget to on meter...

Ya lah. I also give and take. Sometimes got tips sometimes got discount mah. Best is to start meter when moving off. Some CB pax will buay song if you start early. But some nice pax will be happy with your gesture will tip you at the end of trip. Even loading unloading the most meter jump $0.22 cents nia. What can this $0.22 cents buy you? Kopi also not enough lah.
I dun understand how come some people cannot see open a bit. Sometimes we kopi with kakis can buy them drinks and makan, few cents of fare cannot see open?
Today when pax open the door and put something at back seat, i start meter, when finally finishing loading all stuffs - many many ( going to T1) , the base fare is already 4.82 ( haven't move yet) pax just glance at the meter never make noise
So TS , you tell me what i do is correct or not ???
then you want to stop meter only after they unload everything and say sayonara to you? then u chase out to collect money?
