  so i think in near future, peak hour extension or fare adjustment will not happen

  If day time still extend peak hour timing, than left that few hour without peak might as well just increase meter fare...

  Increase fare will affect the night owl pax and all across the board.

  Today, when fare in concern, Govt leave it to each individual companies to operate and competite among themselves, otherwise, you cannot proclaim a free market economy, therefore you see TC increase these and that, and so on.

  The govt and taxi companies therefore work on percentage than fare increment, fare increment sound like increasing the inflation rate, therefore by putting a percentage on the hours, it can better justify the public and yet at the same time, able to justify to the driver that taxi rental increment is in line with the percentage of peak hour extension.

  On the other hand, as alway, a psychological man, I tend to advocate to people mentality of taking taxis, among the crowd during a peak hour, the one who wave her hands tend to stand out in that I can afford to take taxis kind of typical singaporean mentality, you people cannot, wait for your crowded bus lor.
