A STOMPer witnessed the aftermath when a taxi crashed into a traffic light at Tampines Avenue 5.
STOMPer Concerned was only there during the aftermath, he hopes that no one was injured.
Concerned said:
"This happened on June 8 at Tamipnes Avenue 5 in the morning.
"These photo were taken after everything was over around 12:00pm.
"What would the taxi driver be facing for causing the damage done to the traffic light?
"There were no blood trails hopefully there's no victim.
"The traffic on the filter lane came to a halt." -
nothing much will happen,TD will then have to pay accident excess of $1000 plus 1 accident record!he is rushing to earn$7000!

I got a buddy who drive pte car and knock down a lamp post last year, the bill was not 1 k or 2k, but $7k hor, his cheap insurance did not want to cover it, so Lan lan paid lor.And please hor, try not to knock into govt stuff on the road, epecially those electrical and electronic lights and lamp or sign board. Their charges is out of this world price one hor. And they can tell you these are taxpayer equipment, you damage it, GBY.
Why he paid $7k, he asked LTA, LTA said, Mister, the lamp post you knock down need to change, need to lay cable again, need to dig the ground again, need bring in crane and load up a new lamp post, then also need power supply surveyor to approve,,
all these cost is more than 7k, asking u to pay 7k, very good liao, some even have to paid 12k if the lamp post being knocked down is more troublesome to erect, my buddy hear already also Lan jiao also cannot erect liao, knn 7k can go find bak bak at geyland many times liao
And if you hit a traffic light..taxi are covered, if not, at least 10k for all the digging, blocking, even Ah neh holding GO and STOP sign board you also hv to pay hor.

Comprehensive insurance don't cover "3rd party" which is an object leh...
