15-year-old Youth arrested for attempted robbery

  SINGAPORE - Police have arrested a 15-year-old youth for attempting to rob a taxi driver at Yung An Road.

  In a statement to the media, police revealed that the suspect boarded the victim's taxi along Chin Bee Drive on April 11, 2013 at about 11.30pm. Upon reaching Yung An Road, the suspect pointed a knife at the victim's neck and demanded that he hand over his valuables.

  The victim managed to run out from his taxi. The suspect then fled from the location of the incident after his failed attempt.

  Upon receiving the report, officers conducted investigations to establish the identity of the suspect. The suspect was arrested near Geylang Road at about 5.55am on June 12, 2013.

  The suspect will be charged in the Juvenile Court on June 13, 2013 for the offence of Attempted Robbery with Hurt under Section 394, read with Section 511 of the Penal Code Chapter 224, which carries a maximum of 20 years imprisonment and 12 strokes of the cane.

  It depends.

   

  I understand some familys required both parents to work extra long hours just to get by the days.This result lack of discipline and educate the children.
