Left Lane Policy

Notice lately many fm center lane just suddenly cut in to hijack pax even though left lane got empty cab approaching.Kena afew times past 2 days.
One even e brake n cut in super fast without signal or hazad light at lentor ave towards CTE fm yishun,out of no where pax wave fm the 2nd bus stop,nearly whack his cab fm behind,horn at him drove past to see who but he doesn't wana see but act blur.
Then yesday midnite along abc market another one fm center lane just cut in but I 3rd cab in left lane,the front cab guy came out to fxxk that td for hijacking his pax,didn't really see the full episode.
Times are so bad ah? or new drivers dunno the unwritten rule of left lane? I never hijack pax if iam in the center or right lane,ive a habit of checking my mirrors b4 moving in.only if no empty cabs then i move in.

Yes, times are bad, and it might get worst, the recent economy datas are not healthy, it makes peoples become more conservatives in their spending.
And you are right that many newbies TD are on the road, from the way they drive and take pax i also know liao, saw one drive up ion car park, security chased after him..hehe..lols, reversed back and move out into OB then back to ion Taxi stand, lau kui like me only know wisma, what is ION?? never heard before after 5pm..hehe
More newbies on the road is also the result of downward slide of the economy. Retrenchment is getting higher especially in manufacturing sector such as electronics industrial. So, in a way, we also need to understand them, no job, went into TD, took high rental taxis, whack here and there, cannot even breakeven, then end up like vultures fighting each other for a piece of bone.
So, if can look for other partime job, like bao bak zhang, peng bak kua, drive casket van/lorry or doorman and so on.../ never give up till the last breath

Ofcoz center lane can take if left lane no cab,steady abit la,no need be so yao

And more importantly, now newbies are unable to find a chief, unlike last time newbies like my brothers CT, hammer, komade, BJ...and so on, they can get a chief to guide them, now no chief, bo chen hu, luan luan lai lor...lols
So, sometime, cannot underestimate my former chief, he trainned lots of good driver, drivers who know how to keep to their lane, driver who know how to ply the CBD with 13 trips, drivers who know where to wait, where got coconut, where go papaya and where got ants, driver who do not have to comb hair ..lols..a real pity to lost hv lost him, he is one man of much talent and leader but lack the charisma of it, alway want to win, want to end up in his interest. haiz

I am one of those new driver that whack here whack and earn peanuts only..somemore get into accident....but I never steal pax ley..

most of these drivers r sweepers,they r that good at sweeping,they don't bother to Q at TS or take calls.they r the real warriors of the road!everybody give way,the warrior is coming!

I learn alot of PMs and reading past posting..this is how I learn to earn a min subsistence income from driving taxi...
The one you mentioned, if it is the same guy, taught me some tricks too..I am thankful that he is still around when I started driving.

That's why i still consider him a talent at the wrong side of the world.All because he was blinded the usual few things that most of us will fall into, and that is power and greed, if he had listened to my wisdom advices, he might had become the nos 8 taxi company Director in Singapore.
He is one man I see that like to please other, but forget to please himself.

Calls, bo calls take smlj calls, all sub by Cdg liao, knn, Q so long, you go Q lor, by the time your turn, knn 45 minutes gone liao, even geyland only give you 25minutes only leh.So cannot Q, no calls, what you expect a taxi driver to do? park at carpark, go home sleep ar?? sweep lor.

Warrior uses more petrol
however TS, don't feel bad about it. U will learn to be more streetwise in future. Either take a different route from the green lanterns, else be ahead of the rest.
the one that grab your pax, could well be a short trip and u may get the next one that's more fruitful

Taxi industry is a é€‚è€…ç”Ÿå˜ industry...
Individual must use their hardwork and knowledge in order to generate income...

But if somebody thought that by providing on the ground practice openly to anybody is doing a Samaritan job, than I think this fellow got to be shot, he is inviting unnecessary trouble to himself, inviting authority to come knock his door...
I always stress that, forum is just a place to share info, tcss, nothing more than that, sometime people provide policy knowledge, we read, we absorb, if policy mention is not right, we point out...
But to tell people I only drive certain hour, I only ply certain area, I only play CBD, blar, blar, blar don't consider a mentor to me, to me, he is consider an idiot to do so...
So, more or less, now you guys know, why recently so many things being implemented and mostly to the disflavor of taxi drivers. And ironically, he still want to continue doing that...
And to those his followers, following blindly and when their rice bowl being affected, kpkb why like this, why like that.....

Huh? why alway you debate with me one huh??..lolsI believe it is not a case of samartian, as I wrote, when there is self interest in doing samaritian, that is not samartian, more like samurai. He only teach if one is of value to him, either join his group or work in his way. And that is call self interest. UNDERSTAND BO??
Self interest exist in everyone of us, from ministers to cleaners, it is a nature human behavorial, it is only a matter of how much self interest you have that determine your sincerity in helping others.
Let said if I am a Taxi radio operator cum taxi driver, I also do insurance, I also do durian jobs and so on, and I will only help people who are lured in to join my radio group, bought my insurance and help me in my durian job, as such, I can drive less and earn more of out others. That is self insterest without a thought for others.

Being yao or who's faster is one thing but looking at safety aspects it's not worth.suddenly cut in without signal/hazard light n e brake causing the behind vehicle to jam brake is a no no.
So troublesum for all if get into accident in this scenario

we can check with pax where they are heading as we maybe going towards some direction for some reasons. As long pax is aware of the TD preference location b4 boarding, is it against regulations?

never never interview at taxi stand when you are new! hit the wrong one you don't know how to explain.
volume of people heading out of town is increasing now as its middle of holidays so the pie is lesser.
yes let the new tds cheong for the pax. all it takes is one accident and there goes their money. after second accident they'll get out.
