Diesel leak

  This morning when i walk near to my cab, a strong diesel smell came to my nose. I noticed that the smell came from engine compartment but i choose to ignore. Thinking to complete  my peak hr then send for repair.

  This decision nearly cost an accident. When approaching a red traffic signal, i noticed that my brake n power steering all gone. Out of horror, i swifted my gear to' park 'and used my full strength to pull the hand brake. The vehicle stopped in time.

  According to workshop, they explained that the leak oil travelled to fan belt n causes it to torn. without fan belt, brake n power steering will not function. 

  Just a reminder to fellow Td, do get a tow truck immediately when similar situation happens.

  Very rare diesel will leak, very common is transmission gearbox fluid, because is situated just below our vehicle...

  Got to be careful, anything wrong, just stop and call tow, don't risk....

  Diesel leak is common according to CDG technician !

  Dat day my veh, diesel leak, half way in the middle of the road engine stall due to diesel not able to travel to the engine compartment, on the floor full of diesel

  i ask the technician why , He say due to the pipe wear and tear ! its common !

  Got this type of rule?Only traffic accident then can call tow truck? Anybody can clarify?

  got 7 companies right, so the most can tow 14 x, after that, ask him go back do security guard also can mah...lols

  Bo lah, breakdown also must tow mah, if they dun tow, that is their problem, once my crown breakdown at novena, called them, they said not free, I told them, not free ar>> i also not free, I will just park aside, tell you the location and lots nos when you free, you come and tow, and please bring along yr cashcards...thanks

  That's right, sometime before you drive off, just check the floor of the carpark, if got oil or diesel, mean leaking. Dun just drive off without checking anything hor.

  Fuel tank leaking is usually caused by flooding, road side water splashing, it can also be knocking due to previous accident that causes a minor cracks undetected.

  Whenever I go servicing, I will ask them to apply anti rust on the tanks and pipes, best is to give it a good primer paint, those marine paint are good.

  As long as vehicle warning lights come on, not working, activate tow truck.

  if u dont report and defect caused an accident, its a different story already

  Just happened to me last week. I tot smell because NEA fogging the mosquitoes. Then i realised it's my deisel leaking! Call workshop and ask " Can still drive to workshop" If they tell u can drive, make sure ask for name and note down time of call. Best can record in case anything happen.They say no, wait for tow truck!! 3rd time this year kena tow.

  This number is free for all...

  Anything not safe, call and activate them, for CDG drivers only hor...

  Because if you kay kian, insist on driving back a problem taxi, half way, something happen, like overheated, you are liable for the damages hor...

  Breakdown and Accident is 2 different issues at all...

  The best part of CDG is, once you call in for tow, the downtime started...

  And if you got a bit of money, lazy to change a flat tyre yourself, call this number also, they come, change for you and only charge $30 nia...

  Si lor, car also not yours, why so worry, some  hirers hired a taxis is like as tho the taxis become theirs liao..lols
