What is most logical route to take?

To me, get onto Bt Timah then PIE.
which exit, JE/JW or via Corporation Rd, ask pax preference as earlier exit means more traffic lights

niven road, mackenzie road, bt timah road, whitley road, pie, exit jurong canel drive.

Best way to resolve this is offer him 2 choices, let him pick 1 or choose 1 of his own. No problems like that.
Logical: Niven Rd, Bt Timah, Pie (Clementi if after 10pm, if not then Whitley PIE) and PIE exit 31

Yeah, I thought PIE was logical choice too. He asked to take bukit timah road all the way and turn at clementi. Once at clementi, asked if continue to commonwealth ave west... He said Xiao ah, take PIE of course. Wondering why cannot enter PIE at adam or even whitley..

because he think that bukit timah road is more straight/faster.... turn into PIE is longer route for him...

Actually I was wrong in my earlier answer. I think should take Bt Timah and Clementi into PIE at all times, because if you take Adam or Whitley there's always a chance of jam at the BKE turnoff. Plus this route has no ERP (if in the morning not sure if there is ERP if turn at Whitley).
It's shorter and I think faster as well

i also think bt timah road, enter pie after clementi is a shorter route.
bt timah road during day time at sixth ave and near king albert park always heavy traffic. also with mrt construction work on going.

Ok lah...if Bt Timah jam means PIE also jam lah. The BKE exit is a bottle neck. And dun forget they are now upsizing the PIE.

9 out of 10 will use Bukit Timah to PIE...
Ever kanna this pax, want me to go straight Serangoon Road/PIE...
