Needy Elderly Pax

  Just wondering.

  Today, pick up a frail old lady. Took her to the polyclinic. She cannot walk without help and has hail my cab from a bus stop. Some passerbys helped her to hail a cab. Initially thought they were her caretaker.

  At the end of the trip, she asked for the receipt. Anyway, I did not take any payment from her. I gave her the ride and receipt.

  Are they able to claim the taxi fare from some charity or government organisation?Is there a scheme where elderly needy patient can get a cab and claim later?

   

  Kind of sad to see them like this.

  Cannot walk still must go see doc on their own....no one care..

  in reality most TD will try to avoid her!including those handicap on wheelchairs!to them it's too troublesome!that's life for TD!

  I agree..

  ur eye need open big scan around see whether at the side if theres any wheel chair pax waiting while someone try to flag a cab.. 

  This kind of scenario try to avoid pax

  The time taken to load  n unload the wheel chair pax takes more time than the journey itself

  to us taxi drivers time is $$$$

  but if there is a booking..

  i willingly open the taxi boot for them..

  Brother or di di, let put it this way,

  Whether she claims or not, a scams or not, troublesome or not, ask yourself truly, have you done a good thing? if yes, give yourself a good pad and be happy about it.

  True charity work in a way of giving without any attachement, remorse and questioning. Well done brother!

  Whenever people want to cheat on Taxi fare or ask for this discount and that discount,  i would laugh over it. Because taking advantages of a Taxi driver will never in a million years make you a millionaire.

  Talking about passerbys helping to hail cab,just be careful at bukit merah central blk 165 taxi stand,there got one disable guy always asking ppl there to help him.

  Send him once,he stay at chin swee rd,no cash one,endup i gave him afew bucks,my frn also kena fm him.if night shift sure wont miss guy one,he's there most of the time

  Yea it's him,I've seen many tds kena fm him whenever i passby there,once a lady stop me then follow by another guy for him,both different days,I just told them tis guy is taking advantage of tds n move off

  Hougang also got 1 like that one.

  Got money go NTUC buy thing but no money pay for cab.

  Always at Hougang Mall.

  I saw few cabbies fak him leow.

  I 1st time stupid take him and got cabby honk at me..then later then know why.

  He just stay opp Hougang Mall.

  Disturb pple only.

  This old lady I picked up wanted to pay....when she hold my hand for support...can feel so rough lor..me labourer also hand not so rough.

  I dun mind wheelchair pax but I hate the kind that hide by the side..some road are not safe for loading wheelchair and some road are single lane with road divider..if stop will cause traffic jam..

  What I really hate is prata shop people call cab then use cab to delivery their raw ingredients around..make cab smelly and very rude people.

  I kenna pasar malam sellers taking my cab with

  so much goods..wha lau...eh. Back to basic, cab is for people travelling from a to b, and b to c.

  Last time my neighbourhood there got a old lady..dress in rag and beg for $, pick up cardboard but her own house tear down can build condo....own a few terrace houses as well which she rent out.

  There is one at toa payoh lor 1. I took him once to kim yam rd (居士林). reached there no $ pay fares n also ask for receipt (they used it to claim from the charity). Out of compassion, i waived his fares. 

  We are more fortunate than them, just treat it as a good deed for the day. Do not f them.

  He got tell you in advance no $ pay when he board? I am wondering why he don't take bus?

  I got 1 time fetch 1 aunty from Geylang, actually not aunty la, but my age, old woman is aunty for youngster maybe like ah ma.She hail my cab and then ask me whether can send to Aljuneid 10 storey but she got no money. nearly 1 am already, so send lor.

  Hey but dont think funny, she drop at geylang 22 bus stop from 1 bus trying to catch the other last bus but missed. Can la, we sometimes do a bot of charity, nothing we lose what but feel good about it also shiok.

  I post before last time..

  My encounter, On-Call, 2 pax both wheel chair...

  No maid, no kins to help..

  They expect TD to help 1 by 1 into the cab, and 2 wheelchair to load into my booth..

  A bit annoy by their children, how can just leave 2 handicap oldies to manage their own? so ask for their phone number wanted to fark them..

  Oldies don't want to give me..

  So feed back to zone MP about this case, more effective mah..

  After few weeks, receive a call from MP's secretary, MCYS had monitored the oldies situation and a good solution had been make and solved..

  knn right? This kind of children, treat their parent as such..
