ComfortDelGro Corp's largest shareholder, the Singapore Labour Foundation, has pared down its stake in the transport giant again.
The Straits Times understands the labour body has sold 170 million of its ComfortDelGro shares for about $332 million. This is out of the 252.6 million - or close to 12 per cent share - it previously owned.
The amount raised indicates that SLF had unloaded the shares below ComfortDelGro's last transacted price of $2.18.
This sale makes the Capital Group Companies the largest stakeholder in ComfortDelGro. Capital Group has 6.41 per cent now.

TRANSPORT group ComfortDelGro Corp is acquiring Melbourne bus company Driver Group for about A$22 million (S$26.8 million), in a move that will further expand its footprint Down Under.
The proposed acquisition, subject to regulatory approvals, is expected to be completed in July. It is made through CDC Victoria, a subsidiary of ComfortDelGro Cabcharge - a joint venture between ComfortDelGro and Cabcharge of Australia.
ComfortDelGro already operates bus services in both New South Wales and Victoria.
With the latest acquisition, CDC Victoria will have five metropolitan bus routes and a fleet of 42 vehicles. These buses will operate out of CDC Victoria's existing depots in Oakleigh.
So if some think that we TD can be a big influence to company like CDG, please think twice again..

600 MOOVE ICONIC COWS CELEBRATE
SINGAPORE AS CITY IN THE GARDEN
3 May 2013 – They are no strangers to Singaporeans – all 600 of them.
The Moove Media cows will once again graze Singapore landscapes from today until 26 May 2013.
Moove Media, the advertising arm of ComfortDelGro Corporation Limited, has teamed up with the
National Parks Board (NParks) to launch ”Happy Cows, Happy Hearts”, a campaign which aims to
celebrate Singapore as a City in a Garden as well as promote graciousness and kindness amongst
the public at large
All 600 cows, which are made using recycled plywood and printed using eco-solvent ink, carry a red
heart each on their backs. They will be displayed alongside over 1,000 30-inch wide red hearts
made up of fiberglass at about 50 locations including Raffles Place, Orchard Road, Esplanade –
Theatres on the Bay, Fort Canning, Braddell and Sengkang.
Moove cows made their debut in 2005, and about 6,000 cows have since grazed the landscapes.
Said Mrs Jayne Kwek, CEO of Moove Media: “We wanted our cows and the hearts to draw the
public’s attention to the fact that Singapore has, in just 50 years, developed into a City in the Garden
as it is today. The hearts further symbolise the need to care not just for the environment, but for
everyone around us through acts of kindness.”
Mr Kong Yit San, Assistant CEO, Park Management and Lifestyle Cluster, NParks also said: “We
are happy to partner Moove Media in commemorating 50 Years of Greening Singapore this year. As
we look back at how far we have come in greening Singapore, it is also important for us to sustain
this effort for the benefit of our future generations. We hope the eye-catching cows and hearts on
the grass and trees will remind everyone to care for
In case we don't know, all this cows are from CDG...

Revenue is more of a total gross income without taking the cost into consideration.
It can including both operating and services revenue, the increase in shares, owner's equity, values, currency fluctuation..etc etc. Of course, different companies report different in their revenue, and that is also why auditing is neccessary.
As for operating profit, it is more of a core business from operation, without taking the cost in consideration. There are companies that reported high revenue and operating profit, but when substracting the cost, it goes into red.
Let take me as an example, a Taxi drivers
My operating profit is $100 on a half shift driving. But my revenue can be $110 due to tippings for good services. But if we take into consideration the cost of operation, which is $50 rental, $10 foods and $20 on fuel,
I am left of a net revenue of $30 and a net operating profit of $20. So if I am driving a epica or K5 or any other high rental cab, even with operating profit and revenue, I may end up losing after substracting the cost of it. And that also explain why I am poor and never take up higher rental taxis.
