  Investigation Officer
  (Sin Ming Drive)

  Responsibilities:

   

  • Conduct investigations on complaint cases against drivers
  • Attend to drivers' queries
  • Maintain updated records of all drivers' statements, findings and recommend action plans
  • Collate supporting evidence to assist in investigations
  • Review drivers' performance and make recommendation
  • Ad-hoc duties and projects

   

  Requirements:

  • Minimum GCE 'O' levels
  • MS Office applications skill essential
  • Pleasant personality with good interviewing, investigation and communication skills
  • Bilingual with ability to understand major dialects such as Teochew and Hokkien
  • Ex-police force personnel preferred
  • Strictly Singaporeans and SPRs only

  As a Singapore citizen, you have the exclusive privilege to be a taxi driver. Even a PhD permanent resident in Singapore is not qualified to be one.

  This criteria may be perceived as discriminatory and against fair employment as a language requirement has been included with no explanation offered in the advertisement.

  Why need this criteria? Taxi Drivers are deemed uneducated and cannot speak "Engrish" issit?

  it is only discriminatory if the rules favours foreigners... no one will complain if the rules favours Singapore citizens..  like in this case, they put only singapore citizen and SPR can apply no one will complain..if they put only malaysia or phillipines citizen can apply sure get complain...

  Bilingual refer to languages, not dialect, it is kind of funny that they mix up languages and dialect.

  Dialect is in a way more for speaking only, not written

  Languages, as we know can be spoken and written

  cdg should employ someone like u with good taxi industry knowledge n hand on experience. these help to close case faster than non-experienced io.

  The problem is TD rather choose to drive than sitting in the office, getting paid $1.6k, everyday kanna bang table..

  That's why, most of the time, you only can see youngsters taking up this kind of job, especially lady...

  quite true, lta got more power

  but of course with cdg, u do the 'shit' job. just like car park warden, kenna curse and 'f' deep deep by public

  1.6k up, least got some benefits and welfare, 5 days week i guess. but they also better recruit someone that has really been on the road to know what it is like to be a TD
