Man left lying on Pasir Ris road after bike collides with taxi

A motorcyclist was left lying on the road after his bike collided with a taxi along Paris Ris Drive 1 yesterday afternoon at around 5pm.
A Stomp contributor had called the Civil Defence upon hearing a loud bang and seeing the accident site.
Here is an eye-witness' account from Stomp:
"I heard a loud bang outside my house along Pasir Ris Drive 1 at about 5pm.
"I saw this motorcyclist lying on the road.
"SCDF responded to my call within three minutes, I presumed there were other calls ahead of mine.
"The accident vehicles took up both lanes so the traffic along Drive 1 was a virtual standstill.
"Cars were making illegal U-turns at the pedestrians traffic crossing.
"A SCDF personnel directed and moved traffic so that the ambulance could reach the accident site.
"Police came at about 5:30pm.
"The biker had apparently hit the taxi's rear windscreen. Fragments of glass were on the road.
"I saw that the taxi was slightly slanted to the left lane."
