Today pax expect quick n decisive answer, for some, even you look at street directory or key your GPS, they also buay song, and those FT will tell you, why, you td dunno the road ar? So, if pax said you surcharge him $3 is wrong, as his watch is only 4.58pm from city, you open your handbook and look for it?? what do you think pax will said?Open what book? hello, this is not open book test leh, you press at 4+pm that $3 is wrong hor, please reduce it.

in TD, you know lah, any tom and dick, judy and lau char bo can come in, you choose and pick, get caught, siao liao.
What transpired here is a tool in disguise which most will not understand,
of course I am not against a handbook, but the issue here is can it truly stop a crime, and if crime occurred, what will be the govt excuses?
Oh, we hv given them the handbook and they should read it and apply it, lan jiao lah, when crime occured, smlj handbook also not use right?
So, I would say, this handbook is a creation to cover some asses. right?
If you really want to protect TD, you educate the paxs, give them a handbook too,
if possible, you do the hardware part too, barricade the TD seat, cam inside cab, loud sound alarm like bull horn with direct police call button and not to taxi companies and so on, this will greatly deter crimes, handbook??? deter what crimes,
which robbers or person knows about yr handbooks? you dun believe, another case of BJ will happen again with or without handbook..eh sorry BJ

I think to put it this way, they want to let TD to know their right while plying the road everyday lor....
My friends say they even list down all the offenses which will influence your TDVL, why a guidebook to prevent crime need to list down all this?....

Then it is not a crime prevention book, more on the dos and don't of TD, again it is the Taxis driver. Just like in shipyard, safety handbook..lols, after 30 years of driving, then they come out with a handbook to tell you what is an offense directed at TD, not the paxs, non the FTs, non the other road users.
Offenses is alway counteract with a discipline regulation, so I would say this is a discipline handbook for TD, and when you committed something, it is like telling you no accuses, you got a handbook clearly written. As such, it become a code of conducts for us not a handbook..lols

You want to put Taxi sgforum below also can mah, just sponsor only. Of course LTA and Mata sarport it, because at the end of the day, it is easier for them to catch unreasonable and poor discipline drivers.
